The Department of Psychological Sciences at Texas Tech University anticipates hiring a neuroscientist to collaborate with a multidisciplinary, computational neuroimaging group. The successful candidate will employ human neuroimaging as a core methodology but can have a research focus that fits within any subarea of the department including clinical, cognitive, counseling human factors, or social. Participate in the hiring or supervision of work study students and graduate assistants.
Actively participate in a team oriented, supportive program to help retain novice and underprepared students.
Participate in teaching or supervising graduate counseling students, if interested.
Perform other related duties as assigned.

Psychology Lecturer

Penn State Brandywine invites applications for a Psychology Lecturer to begin August 2014 for the Fall 2014 and Spring 2015 semesters. This is a one-year, fixed-term appointment.

Responsibilities:

The Lecturer position requires teaching of four courses (up to 14 credits) a semester in the baccalaureate degree program in psychology at both the lower and upper division levels using traditional, hybrid and online delivery methods.

This assignment may require teaching day, evening and/or Saturday classes as needed. Participation in campus, university, and community service activities is expected. Successful candidate will also be expected to advise students and provide career advice.

Qualifications:

Ph.D. in Psychology or related area is required. The Psychology program has a philosophical emphasis on diversity and a critical contextual approach to understanding human behavior. Commitment to high-quality instruction in a student-centered environment is expected. Interest in active and collaborative learning, the instructional use of technology, and hybrid and online teaching is an advantage. Prior college-level and online teaching experience preferred. Enthusiasm for working in a multidisciplinary environment is important.

The areas of specialization are open, but preference will be given to applicants with experience teaching Research Methods, including qualitative research, and introductory psychology as well as upper division coursework.

position. Preference will be given to candidates with a PhD in social psychology at the time of
appointment. Primary responsibilities include teaching Introduction to Social Psychology and
