VISITING ASSISTANT PROFESSOR IN PSYCHOLOGY

The Department of Psychology at the University of Southern Mississippi invites applications for a full-time, 9 month, Visiting Assistant Professor position beginning August 2017. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic dual-campus psychology department. This position is intended to support the Gulf Park campus which includes approximately 100 undergraduate majors. This is an ideal position for a post-doc interested in obtaining more extensive teaching experience and for individuals preparing for a career in academia. Opportunities to collaborate on research are available, however the primary assignment involves teaching 4 classes each semester, primarily in the undergraduate program.

Qualifications include: a doctoral degree (or ABD) by August 2017 and strong teaching skills. Candidates with backgrounds in applied psychology fields are especially encouraged to apply.
