Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor

The Educational Psychology Program at the University of Alabama invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professor position to expand its Educational Neuroscience PhD Concentration program. We seek a junior scientist who has an interdisciplinary background in education, neuroscience and psychology (e.g., educational psychology, neuroscience, cognitive science, learning sciences, STEM education) and whose research focuses on understanding neural mechanisms and exploring educational implications in one or more domains relevant to education (e.g., math learning/development & numerical cognition, science education, reading & literacy, motivation & affect, learning technologies, cognitive and behavioral disorders). We seek a candidate who integrates developmental, neural, evolutionary and cognitive approaches to construct multi-level theories of learning and cognition, and who can conduct learning design studies to explore the practical validity of these theories.

Area of research specialty within Social Psychology is open. We are especially interested in scholars whose research and teaching interests are in African Diasporan psychology.
