Tenure-Track Faculty Position in Human Systems Neuroscience
The Department of Health Sciences at Boston University is searching for a tenure-track faculty member at the level of Assistant Professor in the areas of Human Systems Neuroscience, Systems Biology or Data Science relevant to Physiology/Neurobiology. The start date of this position is Fall 2015. Candidates who study human brain function in healthy or disordered populations using brain imaging (including fMRI, MEG/EEG), and/or genetics approaches are especially encouraged to apply. The department has undergraduate programs in human physiology, health science, and nutrition, and graduate programs in physiology and neurobiology (MS and PhD) and nutrition (MS DI). Faculty members have active research programs in muscle biology, cytoskeletal signaling, and neurobiology. Opportunities for collaborations also exist in other research programs or departments on the Charles River and Medical School campuses, and through interdisciplinary university-wide programs in bioinformatics, computational science, and neuroscience. New construction in adjacent space will provide a state-of-the-art human neuroimaging resource for research use. Applicants should have an earned doctorate in physiology, cell biology, neuroscience, or a related field, including post-doctoral training. Applicants should have a strong scholarly record with research funding, or potential for funding from extramural sources, as well as a commitment to further develop departmental undergraduate and graduate programs.
