Summary:
The Department of Psychology in the College of Natural Sciences and Mathematics at Indiana University of Pennsylvania invites applications for two full time tenure track position beginning August 2015. The Department seeks to hire a clinical psychologist with interests in Assessment and a clinical psychologist with interests in Health Psychology or Behavioral Medicine. Area of specialization is open for both positions.
The current department of 25 faculty offers a PsyD program in clinical psychology which has been APA-accredited continuously since 1986. The program, which follows a practitioner model of training with a strong commitment to science-based education, accepts approximately 15 graduate students each year. Student outcome scores (e.g., EPPP pass rates and GRE scores) place our program among the top 5 nationally. The department houses the Center for Applied Psychology, a clinical services facility, which provides opportunities for clinical training and research. The Center offers adult, child, and family therapy, and training in forensics, neuropsychological assessments, child custody evaluations and autism assessment. At the undergraduate level, the department offers a rigorous bachelor degree program of approximately 600 majors that includes an honors program, research opportunities, and applied practica. The College of Natural Sciences and Mathematics is committed to promoting interdisciplinary research and teaching which will be facilitated by a renovation project and the construction of a new science building.

Qualifications:
Applicants must have a doctorate from an APA-accredited clinical psychology program with the expectation that the candidate will become licensed in Pennsylvania. Applicants must also demonstrate a potential for excellence in teaching at the graduate and undergraduate levels, for supervision of doctoral students’ clinical training, and for the development of an active program of research. The successful applicant will be expected to initiate and maintain academic and clinical opportunities for students and multidisciplinary collaborations with faculty and affiliated professionals. The department seeks candidates whose research, teaching, or service has prepared them to contribute to our commitment to diversity and inclusion in higher education. As part of a successful on-campus interview process, selected candidates will be expected to provide a demonstration of the above and evidence of understanding diverse populations.
