I've applied to several women-colleges over the past two years. For every one, they hired a woman, and in general their departments are basically all women. Is it stupid for males to apply?

I know a colleague from my grad institution who started out work at a women's college. If you think they don't hire men, check their website. The HR pages should have the info. on hiring policies.
The only professors I know personally at womens colleges are men. At most SLACs the psych depts are more female than male (and womens colleges are SLACs). It seemed to me that the ratios were the same as at other SLACs.
Have you experienced different activity/interest from peer co-ed institutions? Another thing to consider is whether you have a good answer to the question about their mission, and whether for an in-person interview you can consistently support their mission the whole day.
"Women-colleges"?! Whatever you do, please don't refer to a women's college as a "women-college" in your application materials.
Yes, of course women's colleges hire male faculty.
