Job market nightmares?

In retrospect, the nightmare that woke me up this morning is pretty hilarious. I dreamed that my "dream job" that I've been waiting on invites me back for another interview. I have lost my interviewing clothes, and am asked to give a spontaneous chalk talk in front of the department AND the other candidate. Afterwards, they talk about me openly and in front of me as if I am not there. I am told to leave the room and that I did not get the position due to a passing remark that I made about Canada. "We take Canada very seriously around here" says the search chair gravely.

Anyone else have some good ones?

That's the first time I've ever heard of someone taking Canada seriously (cue canned laughter)

Last night I dreamed that I was fooling around with a really heavy woman who was entirely beneath my station. When her mother showed up, I tried to hide under the bed.

But she saw me, and oddly, she invited me to dinner. The rest of the wretched family showed up. I tried to sneak out, but every time I was about to leave, I saw that I was wearing their boots, and not mine.

I don't recall any good ones about the interview process (had a number of vague panicky ones about things like being chased, though). After I accepted an offer I had a nightmare about having to teach multiple courses my first day on campus and I couldn't figure out where any of them were located. So, I guess it never ends.

I had a dream the day after an excellent campus visit. In my dream, the search chair was coming on to me and was trying to kiss me.

In real life, it was a great visit, the search chair was fabulous, happily married, and not at all flirty/weird. Also not someone I'd ever be attracted to or ever consider a relationship with. However, job-wise, I was courted for this position more heavily than I've ever been courted (even considering other places that gave me offers). They convinced me that they REALLY wanted me to come, and luckily I felt the same way, so I accepted.

The job search can be a lot like dating so I think my mind experienced all of that positive attention and turned it into something else in my dream.

I am waiting to hear about an interview for "the job" and I think it went well. I've been waiting to hear for a couple of weeks (expected, they aren't interviewing the other candidates until now).

In my dream I was in a prep school for academics, along with everyone I know waiting to hear about jobs, where I had the academic version of showing up to school naked.

I realized we needed to give a practice second interview job talk, but had no idea what to talk about. After admitting that I wasn't aware of this second job talk, everyone laughed and said "Of course, this is where you actually present the data". I was concerned because I had given a talk with data, but too embarrassed to admit it. I woke up in a sweat, so happy to be awake.
