It's nice to hear that you love our INTERACT software. It's always our intention to have satisfied users.
By using a freeware option you have to keep in mind that you won't get any support in case of problems. Furthermore by using a professional software provided by a company you'll definitely be more flexible in case of your individual needs. Mangold is permanently developing new functionalities so you'll have the guarantee that you can use INTERACT for multiple projects in the future as well.
Regarding the premium service:
Even if your service has expired, you still get help on technical issues (codecs/license keys) and hints about where to find the appropriate information in the help file. The Mangold support team never ever said NO to a support issue. So you won't left alone and Mangold always tries to provide a rough sketch of the steps and routines required. It just might take a little bit longer, because paying customers come first. But taking the usually reply time into account, that is still faster than most other helpdesks!
Furthermore you can always book online support by the hour - more like a workshop if needed. This can always be done if you have a bigger issue - even without a valid premium service.
If however you discover that - to get things done easily the way you need it - you need a newer version, you'll need to pay for it. Because with every support case Mangold leans something new and if a new routine is required, customer specific extensions can be programmed with the build in programming language. The moment such a special routine can be implemented in a general way, it is included in the next release, that is why (sometimes really great) new routines pop up in the extensions menu every now and then.
So to summarize this:
Even without having a valid premium service you can still use the software as long as you want. If you need support, just let us know and we won't leave you alone.
Furthermore having a valid premium service make sense because it does not only include support but also ALL updates that are released within your valid service period, even if this includes a major update like recently version 14!
