VISITING ASSISTANT PROFESSOR POSITION IN PSYCHOLOGY
The Department of Psychology at the University of Southern Mississippi invites applications for a full-time, 9 month, Visiting Assistant Professor position beginning August 2015. This is an exciting opportunity to join the dynamic Department of Psychology. The Department is home to three APA-accredited doctoral programs (Clinical, Counseling & School Psychology), a doctoral program in Brain and Behavior and two terminal master’s programs (Counseling Psychology and the newly developed, Applied Behavior Analysis), as well an undergraduate psychology major. This is an ideal position for a post-doc interested in obtaining more extensive experience in undergraduate teaching and research mentorship and for individuals preparing for a career in academia. Opportunities to obtain post-doctoral supervision towards licensure (which includes mentorship, professional development) and/or to conduct and collaborate on research may be available.
Primary responsibilities will include teaching 4 classes each semester and undergraduate advisement.
Qualifications include: a doctoral degree in Psychology by August of 2015 and strong teaching skills.
