
ANNOUNCEMENT OF VACANCY
Department of Psychology
POSITION: Full-time Assistant or Associate Professor in tenure-track faculty position in
Psychology.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Teaching responsibilities (typically four courses per semester) include all
levels of undergraduate courses and the possibility of teaching at the graduate level in the
Biomedicine Program. Preference will be given to those with teaching expertise in abnormal
psychology, testing and assessment, neuropsychology and applied behavior analysis. Other
courses will be determined based on need and candidate preference. Applicants must have a
strong commitment to high quality undergraduate teaching and be enthusiastic about mentoring
and supervising internships, directing undergraduate research projects, and advising
undergraduates. Engagement in ongoing scholarly activity and departmental and university
service expected.
QUALIFICATIONS: Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology with research base; teaching experience in
psychology; scholarly research, and additional generalist qualifications desirable.
COMPENSATION: Nine-month contract. Salary determined by education and experience.
Eastern Mennonite University uses a tenure-with-review contract system.
APPOINTMENT DATE: Position begins mid-August 2016. EMU reserves the right to fill the
