
The Psychology Department at Florida International University (FIU) in Miami is searching for a full-time, benefits-earning visiting postdoctoral associate with expertise in functional neuroimaging. The successful candidate will assist in the coordination and management of multi-investigator neuroimaging research programs. The primary duties/responsibilities of the position involve direct engagement in all aspects of research, including: protocol development and management, implementation of experiments, participant recruitment, behavioral testing, and MRI data acquisition, management, processing, analysis, and dissemination. The Cognitive Neuroscience Program in the Psychology Department at FIU is part of a campus-wide initiative to further develop cognitive neuroscience research (http://cn.fiu.edu/).
We seek applicants with: (1) a Ph.D. in cognitive neuroscience, psychology, biomedical engineering, computer science, neuroscience, statistics, or a related field, (2) technical experience with neuroimaging data collection and analysis (e.g., SPM, FSL, AFNI), (3) strong computer programming (e.g., bash shell, python, MATLAB) and statistical skills (e.g., R, Python, SPSS), (4) excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication (both verbal and written) skills, and (5) a demonstrated ability to work well with others and manage time efficiently.
Salary will be commensurate with experience and up to $60K. The position is an annual assignment renewable contingent upon funding. We seek to fill the position immediately and start date is flexible. The position will remain open until filled.
