The Department of Psychology at Penn State (http://psych.la.psu.edu/) is recruiting for a social psychologist for a tenure track position starting August 2016. Rank is open, but the expectation is that we will hire at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor. The ideal candidate will hold the Ph.D in social psychology, have a strong record of publications in top social psychology outlets, have an excellent teaching record, and have a history of or clear potential for external funding. We especially welcome candidates who can contribute to one or more of the cross-cutting emphases within our department: Culture and Context, Neuroscience/Biological Bases of Behavior, and Applied/Translational Research. Interests in social disparities and in quantitative methods are also welcome. Rich opportunities exist for collaboration within the department and across the campus. Applicants who can contribute to an overarching department initiative to enhance diversity and our understanding of diversity are particularly encouraged to apply.
