Anyone else driving themselves insane waiting for post ads to post?!

Isn't September 1 usually the big release? I wouldn't start panicking until mid-late september. But yes, it does seem a little light this year.
Historically, I recall many job ads being posted in September, so hopefully that's the case this year for those seeking jobs. Back when I was on the job market, I remember sending out applications in batches: First batch in mid-September (for positions with deadlines in late September or October), second batch in mid-October (for positions advertised after sending in the first batch), and sometimes a third batch in November or December. From my records, here's what it looked like for three of the years I was on the market:
1st batch (mid Sep): 13 apps
2nd batch (mid Oct): 8 apps
1st batch (mid/late Sep): 25 apps
2nd batch (early Nov): 5 apps
1st batch (mid Sep): 14 apps
2nd batch (mid/late Oct): 8 apps
3rd batch (early Dec): 3 apps
Thus, out of 76 total apps, nearly one-third (24 apps) were submitted after September.
I just looked at my data from a few years ago. I applied for 80+ jobs that year and 26 of those were due 10/15 (meaning they would be posted before mid-September). My next batch was sent out in mid October for the late-October/November/December postings. And then I had a few stragglers in November with January deadlines.
Now that 9/1 has come and gone…yea, it's not looking too great out there.
Yeah I think I've added 1 new job to my list since August (and I'm trying to apply somewhat broadly). Where are all the jobs?!?!
