The University of Miami, Psychology Department’s Adult Division has two tenure track positions (Assistant/Associate) open for fall 2016 (http://www.psy.miami.edu/about/job-opportunities/):
1) We are seeking a psychologist whose interests would complement and supplement those of the existing faculty group. We would welcome candidates with expertise in modern quantitative methods and a focus on multilevel models, nonlinear models, missing data, or the analysis of neuroimaging data. With regard to content area of interest, we are open to a wide range of possibilities. Our primary concern is expertise in research and statistical methods. The person hired will be expected to continue to develop an independent research program. This person is also expected to be able to teach at both the undergraduate and graduate level, supervise graduate students in research, and serve on thesis, dissertation, and other departmental committees. Ph.D. in Psychology or equivalent degree required. Appointment at rank higher than Assistant Professor requires experience and qualifications commensurate with rank. 2) We are seeking a clinical psychologist whose interests would complement and supplement those of the existing faculty group. We would welcome an experimental clinical psychologist, with an interest in self-regulatory processes, defined broadly from a cognitive, personality, and/or emotional perspective. With regard to specialty area, we are open to a wide range of possibilities. Our primary concern is that candidates use sound research methods to investigate important questions and problems. Ph.D. in clinical psychology from an APA accredited program or equivalent required. The person hired will be expected to continue to develop an independent research program. This person is also expected to be able to teach at both the undergraduate and graduate level, supervise graduate students in both research and clinical domains, and serve on thesis, dissertation, and other departmental committees. Appointment at rank higher than Assistant Professor requires experience and qualifications commensurate with rank.
