I have lots of questions for interviews, but I'm wondering which ones I should throw out at the phone interview. Ive been on search committees before, but it's been a while. I understand the phone interview is just a first screen of your personality and q&a skills, so I don't need to start asking about tenure policies, etc.
General questions about research/teaching/service balance?
Research infrastructure (osp, etc.)?
Future vision of department?
These would obviously differ for a SLAC.
