Valparaiso University has a tenure-track position in our CACREP-accredited Clinical Mental Health Counseling Program to begin August 2016. Candidates must have earned a doctoral degree in counselor education, preferably from a CACREP-accredited program OR have a related doctoral degree and have been employed as a full-time faculty member in a counselor education program for a minimum of one full academic year before July 1, 2013. Candidates who are ABD will be considered.
Specific areas of expertise are open and candidates should demonstrate teaching excellence and a clear interest in involving students in their program of scholarship. Candidates should be interested in working at a university engaged in issues in Christian higher education in the Lutheran tradition. In addition to strong academic qualifications and excellence in teaching, the University highly values experience in working across cultural and other significant differences.
