The Department of Psychology at Brandeis University invites applications for a tenure track assistant professor position in developmental psychology to begin August 2016. We seek an individual with an active research program focused on any area of developmental science. We seek candidates who demonstrate evidence of scholarly productivity, outstanding promise to contribute to undergraduate and graduate training programs, and the ability to secure external funding for a program of research. The successful applicant will contribute to a vibrant research and graduate training department with NIH-supported training programs, entitled “Brain-Body-Behavior Interface in Learning and Development Across the Lifespan” and “Cognitive Aging in a Social Context”. Opportunities for collaboration and affiliation exist across campus including centers and programs in Neuroscience; Health, Science, Society and Policy; Education; and the Heller School for Social Policy and Management. Teaching duties will include Developmental Psychology and other undergraduate courses such as Research Methods as well as advanced graduate-level seminars on topics in areas of specialization. A doctoral degree in developmental psychology or a related field is required.
