
ASSISTANT PROFESSOR IN PERSONALITY-CLINICAL PSYCHOLOGY:
Tenure-track position beginning Fall 2016 for PhD in Clinical Psychology with specialization in personality assessment and theory; licensed or license eligible preferred. Candidates must demonstrate evidence of a strong, transferable research program and evidence of the ability to teach a range of relevant courses to a culturally diverse student body. The successful candidate will be expected to teach graduate and undergraduate courses, particularly personality assessment and personality theory at the graduate level. Candidates must also be able to supervise thesis and dissertation research, participate in department- and university-level committees, establish a research program with student participation at all levels, and, if consistent with credentials, supervise clinical students toward certification and licensure. EMU Faculty have access to research assistance and institutional support.
The Psychology Department has MS programs in General Clinical, Clinical-Behavioral, and Experimental psychology, an APA-accredited Clinical Psychology Ph.D. program, and approximately 1000 undergraduate majors. The department includes an onsite community clinic that provides therapy and assessment services for children, families, and individual adults. The EMU campus is located in the Ypsilanti/Ann Arbor community, five miles from downtown Ann Arbor and 35 miles west of Detroit, MI and Windsor, Ontario.
