The Department of Psychology at Cleveland State University invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position from individuals who specialize in any area of clinical psychology, cognitive neuroscience, health psychology, or sensation/perception. The appointment will begin on August 22, 2016. This is a full-time tenure track position.
The departments goal is to appoint the applicant with one of these specializations who will best contribute to one or more of the departments programs. These include an undergraduate program; masters programs with concentrations in clinical psychology, experimental research, industrial-organizational psychology, and diversity management; a Psychology Specialist program in school psychology; and a doctoral program in Adult Development and Aging (in collaboration with the University of Akron).

In addition, the University, College of Sciences and Health Professions, and Psychology Department seek to attract a diverse and culturally sensitive faculty of the highest caliber. The primary responsibilities of the appointee will be to conduct a research program that includes mentoring undergraduate and graduate students and advising theses; to teach undergraduate and graduate courses; and to engage in department, college, and/or university service.
Minimum Qualification: Completion of all requirements for a doctoral degree in psychology or closely related field by July 1, 2016.
Preferred Qualifications: A record of scholarship in clinical psychology, cognitive neuroscience, health psychology, or sensation/perception, commensurate with experience; potential for securing external funding for research, or record of securing external funding commensurate with experience; teaching interests in area of specialization; potential for, or record of, successful teaching; and the ability to contribute through teaching, research, and/or service to the diversity, cultural sensitivity, and excellence of the academic community.
