
Pace University invites applications for the Clinical Director, start date negotiable. This is a new position within a vibrant Psychology Department within Pace University-New York City.
A Ph.D. or Psy.D. degree in clinical, counseling, school, or combined school-clinical concentrations as well as a NYS license are required. Administrative and clinical experience are required as well as evidence of advanced skills and training.
The Psychology Department offers three graduate programs (an American Psychological Association (APA) accredited Psy.D. in School-Clinical Child Psychology, a M.S.Ed. in School Psychology, and M.A. in Psychology), two undergraduate programs, and a combined B.A./M.A. program. The McShane Center is the on-site training facility for students in the M.S.Ed. in School Psychology and the doctoral program. The Psychology Department envisions that the McShane Center training activities will be expanded over the next few years and looks forward to the Clinical Director working closely with the Psychology Department and the academic programs in this endeavor.
The Clinical Director will work closely with the McShane Center Director in overseeing the smooth functioning of the McShane Center. Position responsibilities include opportunities for collaborating in program development, community service delivery, consultation/supervision with therapists-in-training, provision of leadership for new training opportunities for professionals, and research. Specific responsibilities include supervision of medical records compliance, budget, preparation of documentation for university offices and accreditation, staff supervision, emergency management, monitoring students and trainee’s responsibilities and competencies, developing seminars for trainees and participation in the development of training programs and community partnerships for mental health services delivery.
