The Department of Psychology (http://psychology.arizona.edu/) and the Cognitive Science Program (http://www.cogsci.arizona.edu/) within the interdisciplinary
School of Mind, Brain and Behavior (http://web.mbb.arizona.edu/) at the University of Arizona invite applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the level of Assistant Professor. While our preference is for applicants who use human neuroimaging techniques or brain stimulation approaches combined with behavioral experiments to understand the brain systems underlying attention and consciousness, applicants who use these methods to investigate other areas of cognition (e.g., perception, learning and memory, decision-making) will also be considered. An interdisciplinary, collaborative perspective and experience with multiple methodologies is highly valued. A Ph.D. is required by August 2015 and post-doctoral experience is preferred.
Faculty at the University of Arizona teach courses at graduate and undergraduate levels and contribute to mentoring students, including those from underrepresented backgrounds. They also participate in outreach and contribute to department, college, and university service. In these and other ways, faculty members are expected to help in the development of innovative approaches to enhancing student engagement, increasing diversity, and expanding collaborations with community and business partners.
Interested candidates should submit a letter of interest, statement of research and teaching interests, and a CV to posting #F20280 at
http://www.uacareers.com. Applicants should also attach 3 recent publications, and arrange for three or more letters of recommendation.
We will begin reviewing applications December 1, 2015, and continue until the position is filled.
