Brief Job Description:
The Psychology Department at SUNY Buffalo State invites applications for a
fulltime
tenure track position at the assistant professor level starting
September 2016. We are seeking candidates in one of two areas: Cognitive
Neuroscience/Clinical Neuropsychology or Applied Psychology with a
specialization in either Child or Adolescent Development or
Industrial/Organizational Psychology. Review of applications will begin
January 15, 2016, and will continue until filled.
Required Qualifications:
Candidates must have a Ph.D. in Psychology. Candidates are expected to
have a commitment to undergraduate education and research and to the
development of an active research program in their area of interest.
Candidates must be prepared and qualified to teach courses in their area
of interest and departmental core courses, including research methods,
statistics, history and systems, and senior seminar.

Preferred Qualifications:
Preference will be given to candidates with a record of prior college
teaching experience and an established program of research. The
Psychology Department serves undergraduates exclusively, with 600+
majors and 11 fulltime
faculty and has a strong track record of student
involvement in individualized experiences and we seek candidates who
share this commitment.
