Description:
The Department of Psychology at Montclair State University invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in Clinical Psychology to begin in September 2016. Preference will be given to applicants with expertise in an area related to forensic psychology, including forensic assessment, interpersonal violence, child abuse and neglect, criminal behavior and recidivism, plea-bargaining and sentencing decisions, the mental health impact of incarceration, or any other topic with relevance to criminal or family courts. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated excellence in teaching and evidence of scholarly productivity commensurate with experience. Applicant must be licensed or license eligible in New Jersey. Experience with grant writing and the potential to attract extramural funding are highly desirable. Applicants should expect to teach three courses per semester at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Candidates will be expected to develop an active research program leading to publication with undergraduates and graduate students.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Doctorate in clinical psychology is required; post-doctoral academic or forensic experience is desirable.
