We invite applications for a 2-3 year postdoctoral fellowship studying group dynamics, social hierarchy, and stress. This position is part of a joint collaboration between Dr. Pranjal Mehta’s Social Psychoneuroendocrinology Lab (www.spelab.org) at the University of Oregon and Dr. Caroline Davis from the Cognitive Science team at the U.S. Army Natick Soldier Research, Development and Engineering Center (NSRDEC) located just outside of Boston, MA.
The fellow can be based out of the Boston or Oregon office depending on preference. The ideal candidate will be interested in conducting interdisciplinary research on physiological systems and group dynamics. The candidate should expect to conduct studies with students and/or community participants toward the beginning of the fellowship period, which will be complemented by studies with military personnel as the project develops. This fellowship is an opportunity to receive interdisciplinary training in both basic and applied science with a unique population.
The position has a somewhat flexible start date, and applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis until the position is filled. Qualified individuals must be U.S. citizens and will have earned a Ph.D., M.D. or equivalent in psychology, neuroscience, endocrinology, physiology, or medicine.
Applications should include a cover letter outlining fit for the position, a C.V., contact information for three references, and a statement of research interests. All application materials should be sent to moc.liamg|codtsopkcitanou#moc.liamg|codtsopkcitanou. Questions about the position can be directed to Pranjal Mehta (ude.nogerou|athem#ude.nogerou|athem) or Caroline Davis (lim.liam|vic.4sivad.c.f#lim.liam|vic.4sivad.c.f).
