West Texas A&M University has approved one tenure-track assistant professor position beginning Fall 2016, with responsibilities in support of our Specialist in School Psychology program. The successful applicant will be an integral member of the psychology program and will have the opportunity to teach both undergraduate and graduate courses. West Texas A&M is part of the Texas A&M system and is located in Canyon, Texas, 15 miles south of Amarillo in the Texas Panhandle. The university provides a gateway to the rich cultural heritage of the Southwest.
A Doctorate in School Psychology is required (ABD will be considered). Candidates must possess or be eligible for Texas licensure as a Licensed Specialist in School Psychology. Experience in obtaining external funding and establishing or maintaining community collaborations and services is desirable.
Preference will be given to graduates of a NASP approved program and those with experience as a practicing school psychologist.
