The Psychology Field Group at Pitzer College seeks an Adjunct Professor to teach 5 courses during the 2016-2017 AND 2017-2018 academic years, pending review after the first year. Candidates are sought with a commitment to undergraduate teaching and the ability to engage undergraduates in an active research program. Among the courses to be taught are: Introduction to Psychology, Cognitive Development Lab, Child Development, and Seminar Courses in the candidate’s specialty areas. Capacity to teach Statistics and Research Methods would be desirable. Ability to address issues of diversity—such as gender, sexuality, disability, class , race and/or ethnicity and a demonstrated commitment to mentoring students from underrepresented groups—will be favorably considered. The successful candidate may establish affiliations with one of several Intercollegiate Departments (Africana Studies, Asian American Studies, Chican@/Latin@ Studies, and/or Women’s Studies).
A Ph.D. in Psychology is required.
