The Institute for Quantitative Theory and Methods (QTM) at Emory University seeks to hire a quantitative social scientist with expertise in causal inference, Bayesian statistics, or machine learning. The position is tenure-track at the level of Assistant Professor (advanced assistants will be considered). The position is a joint hire between QTM and a social science department that will be the candidate’s tenure track home. Teaching load will be standard for the tenure track home and distributed between QTM and the department.
The successful candidate must demonstrate excellence or the promise of excellence in both research and teaching. The candidate should have completed the Ph.D. or be very close to completing the Ph.D. by September 2017.
