The Department of Psychology in the College of Social Sciences, Mathematics and Education at The University of Tampa invites applications for a tenure track position in Psychology at the rank of Assistant Professor starting in August 2017.
The University of Tampa is a medium-sized, comprehensive, residentially-based private institution of 8,300 undergraduate and graduate students. Teaching responsibilities include Theories of Personality, Psychological Assessment, and Abnormal Psychology, in addition to General Psychology and Introduction to Statistics and Research Methods. Candidates will have the opportunity to teach and/or develop other courses in their specialty. Teaching responsibilities include three, 4-hour courses each semester. Area of research activity is open with specialization in children, adolescents, or adults. Other responsibilities include scholarly activities, student advising, and service to the department, college, and University. Preference will be given to candidates with experience mentoring undergraduate research.
The successful candidate will have a Ph.D. in Clinical or Counseling Psychology from a graduate Department of Psychology earned by August 1, 2017 and demonstrated scholarly activity in the field. Preference will be given to candidates who are license-eligible.
