The Department of Psychology at Howard University is accepting applications for a tenure-track position (Assistant Professor) in Neuropsychology for the 2017-2018 academic year. The successful candidate will be expected to teach undergraduate courses in Neuropsychology and Drugs and Behavior in addition to Neuropsychology, Psychopharmacology, Health Neuropsychology, and Special Topics in Neuropsychology at the graduate level. Minimum requirements include a Ph.D. in neuropsychology and the completion of post-doctoral training in neuropsychology. Members of our faculty are expected to develop research programs and participate in classroom teaching, both of which will involve undergraduate and graduate students. We are interested in candidates who show exceptional promise in conducting human neuropsychological research that overlaps with other program areas (clinical, developmental, personality, and social) in the department. Particular attention will be given to applicants whose research has some bearing on racial and ethnic health disparities. The candidate should also show evidence of productive research accomplishments and the ability to attract external funding.
