Search Committee Chair is picking me up at the airport.

Do I need to wear a suit or can I get away with a polo and jeans?

You only need to wear a suit if you're interviewing after you arrive; otherwise how about khakis instead of jeans?

It probably doesn't matter. I've worn jeans with a jacket and no tie on a number of interviews in
top departments and no one cared. A guy who was offered a job at Harvard a few years back
wore a flannel shirt for his job talk. That was bold!
