For a research-oriented clinical psychology position, they are requesting "evidence of teaching credentials" - would this be teaching evaluations? I have not heard this phrase before in other job ads.

I've never seen that. Do your letter writers address teaching in their recommendations?
I assume they mean teaching evaluations and potentially sample syllabi.
I've always heard that evidence of teaching effectiveness = teaching portfolio, or at the very least, teaching evaluations. This isn't quite teaching effectiveness, but my best guess would be to assume portfolio.
I've been seeing quite a bit, and for the time being I have been including teaching evaluations.
How long are people's teaching portfolios that they send with job materials? Mine is dozens of pages, and I am nervous to send something that long.
I emailed the search committee chair and she said that they did not want a teaching portfolio; either a summary of teaching evals or a letter writer to comment about teaching experiences and effectiveness. I would have never guessed that though based on the phrasing of the ad… thanks for the input!
