In the past few weeks my advisor has sent me a few job announcements from her DCT listserv that I have not heard about on any listservs to which I subscribe; they were also not posted on any of the websites I check regularly. Why might a department choose to advertise to only one or two listservs that may only reach a small number of individuals?

Secondly, could people share where they hear about job announcements?

-Academic Keys
-Various listservs affiliated with professional psychology organizations (primarily ABCT and APA divisions) and the "NewPsych" listserv on yahoo.

Here is a list from the General Discussion section of the forum:

• APA: All areas of psychology.
• APS: All areas of psychology. New ads are typically posted on the first of each month.
• Chronicle: All areas of psychology. Search for your specialty.
• CNS: Cognitive neuroscience ads are posted in the newsletter.
• COGDOP: All areas of psychology
• CPA: Canadian job ads.
• CSBBCS: Canadian job ads, mainly for brain, behavior, and cognitive science.
• CSS: Cognitive science ads.
• HERC: Various areas of psychology. Search for your specialty.
• HigherEdJobs: All areas of psychology. Search for your specialty.
• Jobs.ac.uk: European job ads, mainly for positions in the UK.
• Nature: Primarily neuroscience ads. Search for your specialty.
