If you can't make it for an interview on the date that a school "unofficially" offers, and the SC chair mentions being concerned about time and schedule constraints on their end, is there a chance they will drop you and move on to the next candidate who can make it at a more convenient time for the school? I told a school I was really interested but that I couldn't make it on the particular day they wanted (for various reasons I didn't go into). It's been a few days now with no word. Ack. Is it possible that I blew it before it even began? What to do? I really do love this school and want to make it work.

If they did, is that really somewhere you want to be then?

I had a similar situation, but due to an offer and the school having a late visit. They told me I could schedule it as is or withdraw. So I think once they invite you, it is up to you to withdraw…that they can't really yank it.
