I know it's early but I'm sad and ready to move on. Anyone else?

In the past I've "rebooted" the wiki at the start of July, which is around the time when the first job postings for the next cycle start to appear.
I wonder if we should start it earlier as 2012 postings have already started.
I've also come across a posting for next year and I've noticed that the rate of wiki updates has slowed substantially (only 14 in the entire month of May). Assuming there are no objections, next week I can archive the current wiki (people would still be able to view and update it) and get the new wiki set up.
On that note, does anyone have suggestions for changes to the wiki or to the forum? One thing I am thinking of changing is the nesting structure of the forum posts so that there is no nesting (i.e., a "flat" structure). I've found it a bit awkward to find recent posts when they are nested under earlier posts up-thread.
I like this idea, it can be confusing when new posts get nested within other posts and do not show up at the end of the discussion.
Thanks for all the work you do on this, vd! It's an amazing resource for all of us in the field and on the market.
yes please remove the nesting feature
perhaps the intro text for "how to use this wiki" could empahsize that we would appreciate information that is as up to date as possible particularly information regarding when a position has been filled.
It might also be a good idea to have people list the posting date as well as the application deadline so that it is easier to know whether a post is active or not.
Any chance you'd fill me in on where you've seen listings (and which programs have announced them)?
I am definitely for starting it up again soon. In addition, a slightly selfish request - can we have a separate school/ Ed psych category? There were more that made it to the wiki, though by the time I found them, they were no longer accepting applications. Perhaps there is a way for us to do it, but I wouldn't know ;)
Thanks for all your work on this!
I find it ironic that people are nesting their support of the removal of the nesting feature.
This site brings me much joy and sadness, thank you vd your hard work.
How about hosting (or facilitating) a few 2 minute surveys for some of the most popular threads (e.g., numbers of pubs, number of applications, starting salary offers, degree of optimism/depression, etc.)? Just brainstorming. Might be nice to have aggregate data and should still be cheap/free except for time (e.g., via survey monkey).
Thanks for all your support with this forum.
I, too, like the idea of removing the nesting. Thanks so much for this forum!
