I saw on the Wiki that someone had received a rejection e-mail from Pomona. I'm wondering whether this was after a phone interview? I didn't get a phone interview but also have not received a rejection e-mail, so I was wondering if they were only sending rejection e-mails out to those who had done phone interviews and failed to get through to the next stage.

I don't know the answer to your question. I completed a phone interview with Pomona but haven't heard either way. However, I do know that these e-mails often go out in stages (e.g., once the short list phone interviews have been conducted, all other applicants might receive a rejection e-mail). Further complicating things at Pomona is that they didn't use a job website, which means they might have to send out e-mails the old-fashioned way (i.e., many individual e-mails rather than a single button click on the website). Stay tuned, I'm sure someone else know more than I do.
I received a rejection email from Pomona and I was not phone interviewed. The email says that they anticipate being able to make a hire from the shortlist, therefore they are letting the rest of the 180 applicants know.
Yeah, I'm trying to figure out whether we could be on a reserve list, or (much more likely) they haven't finished sending out rejection e-mails yet.
As the OP I can now tell you I did get my rejection. Looks like they are taking a long time to get through all the e-mails.
remember guys, they're doing the rejections by hand. 170 first round rejections takes awhile. If you weren't interviewed via the phone, you're not going to be invited out regardless of how badly the search goes. If you WERE interviewed by phone, then hope that they fail to find a match with the first 3, and then come Feb you might get an invitation to campus ;)
