Question: Has the 2011-2012 job market borne most of its fruit, or will there be another wave of postings for faculty positions in January?
As I understand it, at this point in the cycle community college, visiting, post-doc, and NTT positions are what dominate whereas faculty positions all but dry up. Is this typically the case? If so, is there reason to think this year is different?
Although clinical seems to be awash with positions, I'm a bit disappointed with the number of opportunities in my area. This is probably wishful thinking, but I'm hoping that there have been widespread delays in positions getting approved this year and that we'll see more in Jan.
For any area, what's the word? Is this it?
