Several weeks have passed since Hope College compiled a long-short list of candidates. A recent post on the main wiki suggests they may have short-short list, but I haven't heard anything else. Can anyone give an update? Thanks.

I'm in the same boat. I haven't heard anything since submitting the extra materials. I'm guessing they've moved on to phone interviews and possibly on campus interviews as it's been three weeks since the due date for the extra materials. That being said, I haven't received an official rejection email or letter yet.
I'm sure you're right. I noticed someone got a rejection, but maybe he/she was not on the long-short list.
I know someone who has a campus interview scheduled. From what I understand there are 3 people who are going to be interviewed.
This is second hand information, so don't consider yourselves out of the running yet.
S P, do you know if your friend officially has an interview scheduled, or did they just get the "are you still interested" call suggesting they might get an interview invite?
Does anybody else know if official interview invitations have been sent out?
Hi, I am in the same boat as youI got email communication about making the first cut, sent in my essay responses, and asked for a timeline. Their unofficial timeline said they'd be extended interview invites Feb 3-6, which obviously has passedI have not heard either way whether they want to interview me or not. (didn't sound like they were going to do phone interviews, just in-person, though they didn't specify that exactly—they just didn't have an extra step in their proposed timeline between essay responses and in-person interviews)
btw, not sure why that one line in my post above was striked out. I did not intend that, but it won't let me edit it.
I emailed the search chair. He said they brought in there top choices to interview, and that although anything is possible, unless you recieved the interview invite, it is unlikely that you will go any further with Hope College. Bummer. =(
Don't forget that even in the midst of despair, hope springs eternal. Good luck all!
