Does anyone have any information about the status of the Western Kentucky clinical position?

I have a friend who told me about this search. Said several apps were received, but only one person invited for interviews (grad school friend of mine, actually). He was given a strong wink-wink and told he was a shoo-in, but was not offered the job, which remained open. Other sources say there was a combination of concerns about his CV (which one might think could have been checked before he was invited to campus) and infighting between clinical and other parts of the department. So the job will probably be open again.
