Austin College Department of Psychology invites applications for a tenure-track, assistant professor position beginning August 2013. Austin College is a selective, national liberal arts college with an enrollment of 1300 undergraduates. Ph.D. required with a strong commitment to teaching excellence. Preference will be given to candidates who have a doctorate in counseling or clinical psychology, are licensed or license-eligible in Texas, and practice evidence-based therapeutic techniques. While area of specialization is open, preference will be given to applicants who are interested in any population from college aged to late adulthood. Teaching responsibilities include general psychology, psychopathology, quantitative research methods, an upper-level course on the therapeutic relationship, and occasional participation in the college-wide interdisciplinary program.
