The Psychology Department at Sweet Briar College invites applications for a tenure-track appointment at the Assistant Professor level, beginning fall 2013, in the area of Experimental Psychology. We are interested in candidates with a primary specialization in Social Psychology. The candidate must be committed to teaching excellence in a liberal arts community while maintaining an active program of scholarly research that involves undergraduates. A large research laboratory and startup monies are available. Teaching assignments are 3/3, and preference will go to candidates who can successfully teach Social Psychology, Research Methods/Design (and lab), Introductory Psychology, as well as courses in one’s area of specialty. The ability to teach in any of the following areas is also highly desirable: Cognition, Personality, I/O, or Women and Gender Studies.
