Saint Joseph’s University’s Department of Psychology invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track position at the level of Assistant Professor to begin Fall 2013, pending final Board approval. Minimum requirements include ABD in Psychology and expertise in the area of Developmental Psychology. Qualified women and minorities are strongly encouraged to apply. Preference will be given to candidates with a strong commitment to teaching excellence at both undergraduate and graduate levels and an active research program that can involve advanced undergraduate and graduate students. The successful candidate’s research will be sustainable with facilities available at the University. The Psychology Department hosts a robust undergraduate major and successful MS programs in Experimental Psychology. Teaching load at Saint Joseph’s is 3:3; mentoring graduate students counts as one course/year. The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to Departmental coverage of the Psychology core courses that support the major, including Research Methods, and to develop undergraduate and graduate content courses in his/her area of expertise, including an undergraduate lecture/laboratory course.
