The Department of Psychology at the University of Texas- Pan American is seeking to fill two tenure-track positions at the Assistant Professor level in Clinical Psychology beginning Fall 2013. Positions specifically require teaching clinical practicum and clinical-content courses at the graduate level.
The successful applicants will be expected to clearly demonstrate the ability to: (a) maintain an active program of research and publication, (b) seek extramural funding for research activities, (c) provide graduate and undergraduate teaching, (d) mentor graduate students in an existing M.A. program and supervise graduate theses, and (e) actively contribute to the development of a Ph.D. program in Clinical Psychology currently in the proposal process. Desirable qualifications include teaching and research experience in a doctoral institution and clinical licensure or license-eligibility.
Area of specialization is open. However, preference will be given to candidates who complement existing strengths and areas of development in the Clinical Psychology program.
Applicants must have an earned doctorate by September 1, 2013. Strong preference will be given to those from APA-accredited clinical psychology programs (with APA or AAPIC accredited clinical internships). ABDs may be considered, but a conferred doctorate by September 1, 2013 is required for appointment at the rank of assistant professor.

Original transcripts in support of all earned degrees will be required for candidates invited for an interview.
