I see on the main wiki page that people have received both interviews and rejection emails from the Carleton cognitive position. If I applied but have heard nothing either way, does anyone have an idea what this might mean? Thanks for any thoughts!

Not to dash your hopes or anything. But often there are steams of rejection letters (or sometimes no rejection at all) as there are many more people who are rejected than invited (obviously). The schools don't always have an automated way to send out rejection letters.
It could also mean you are still in the hunt. If the first batch of interviews don't work out, some schools will extend invitations to the next one or two on the list.
