PROFESSOR (open rank)/CHAIR: Aquinas College, a Catholic liberal arts institution in the Dominican tradition, invites applicants for a full-time, tenure-track position in Psychology, to begin August 2013. We seek a collegial teacher-scholar with a specialization in clinical or counseling psychology and demonstrated dedication to students and liberal arts education. The ability and interest to serve as department head immediately would be a distinct asset to the program.
The candidate should have (1) a doctoral degree in psychology; (2) demonstrated department leadership experience and skills; (3) ability to teach counseling theories and techniques, tests and measurement, and courses in the area of clinical psychology; and (4) ability to guide undergraduate student research and involve students in ongoing faculty research. The ideal candidate will be a mid-career psychologist with an interest in and appropriate background for leading the department in the exploration of establishing a counseling psychology master’s program.
