Just curious what's going on there. Did the person who got offered the job refuse the offer? Why the wait on contacting short list candidates for interviews?

I'm curious about this too. Middlebury's search status (on Interfolio) recently changed from "offer made" to "reviewing applications". Perhaps they dipped back into the applicant pool after someone declined the offer????
I received an invitation for an interview (that I can't accept), it sounded to me like they were just getting to the shortlist due to timing - not due to a rejection.
I should clarify — I see there are two Middlebury positions. I am talking about the joint appointment Neuroscience/Psych position (not the developmental psych position).
I received the email about being on the short list, but did NOT receive a campus invite.
Me too — received the short list email weeks ago, but no word. Did anyone receive the short list email around Jan 5th and get interviewed for the neuroscience/psychology tenure-track position since then?
A candidate was brought to campus this week for an interview for the Neuroscience/Psych position
ummm, I was told at the start of December that interviews for the position were over.
