
The Department of Psychology at the University of Texas of the Permian Basin is pleased to announce an openings for tenure track assistant, associate or full professor faculty position beginning August 2013. We are seeking candidates with a Ph.D. in Clinical or Counseling from APA approved programs and eligibility for licensure in the state of Texas. Desire for active department leadership is also encouraged. The specialty is open but research experience is expected. This position may require teaching undergraduate courses in introductory, personality, research methods, and abnormal psychology and graduate courses in clinical practicum, ethics, research methods, personality and intellectual assessment. Other courses to be taught may reflect the candidate’s areas of interest. The Department of Psychology has 7 full time faculty, 200 undergraduate majors, and 50 master’s degree graduate students in either the clinical or applied psychology graduate tracks. In addition to teaching, faculty members are required to develop productive scholarly agendas, pursue research funding through grant development, and provide departmental, college and university service. Willingness to develop and teach on-line courses is necessary.
