The Catholic University of America, Department of Psychology invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor in Cognitive Neuroscience for Fall 2014. Applicants should have an ongoing research program with demonstrated ability to attract extramural funding and be committed to excellence in teaching, research, and mentorship. Although a range of content areas within Cognitive Neuroscience will be considered, the Department is especially interested in candidates whose research can fit within the Applied Experimental Program and can develop joint activities with the Developmental and/or Clinical Programs.
The Psychology Department has 13 faculty, and offers PhD programs in Applied Experimental, Developmental, and Clinical Psychology as well as BA and MA degrees. Faculty have active research programs in a range of areas that attract substantial external funding and involve national and international colleagues. Department facilities include an EEG/ERP lab; MRI research is conducted through collaboration with neighboring institutions. Catholic University is located on a 250-acre, park-like campus in Northeast Washington convenient to medical centers, universities, and laboratories (including the NIH).
