Job summary
The Department of Psychology and Neuroscience is looking for an instructor for a Learning and Memory Laboratory course for the spring semester of 2014. This lab course involves laboratory experiments with animal and human subjects as well as use of computer simulations of animal models. The course will meet on Thursday afternoons from 1:45-4:25.
Instructor responsibilities
The instructor will be responsible for:
• Coordinating labs with the instructor for the Learning and Memory course
• Supervising students during lab
• Assessing student learning through lab write-ups, papers, and exams
• Oversee care of animals during lab periods
Minimum requirements
Current graduate student or Ph.D. in psychology, neuroscience, or related field.
Experience with handling and care of rats
Experience training rats on operant tasks is preferred
Salary The salary is $2,150 for this course
