If you have applied to clinical positions, have you heard anything (regardless of which school)? Is the search genuinely slow, or are clinical applicants just not updating the site as are applicants to other fields? From reading over some of the threads from last year, it seems the latter is more likely (i.e., not a lot of clinical applicants updating the site, for whatever reason). Having said that, here we are in early Dec, and I personally have not heard a peep from the vast majority of the institutions I have applied to. I am not sure if this is just me, or if this is because it is actually too early in the process. Some feedback about application timeline from previous years' clinical applicants would be much appreciated.

I heard from one place about a phone interview, but only about a third of my apps were 11/1 or earlier deadlines and I was giving places a good month to go over submissions. As far as I know, none of my colleagues have heard from places yet and our sites don't overlap completely. I wasn't really expecting anything until some time this month.
I have heard from one place for a phone interview and then campus interview invite- I tried to update the Wiki today and it kept giving me an error, perhaps that is contributing to the lack of information? Most people I know have not received any rejections, just a few phone interviews from places with Sept. and Oct. deadlines.
I have applied to 18 positions, gotten 2 formal rejection emails, and 1 informal rejection (the position is filled, according to this wiki). 5 or 6 of the positions I applied to had an early to mid October deadline, while the rest had a Early-Mid Nov, and Early Dec deadlines. I have 0 phone or campus interviews under my belt. Although that would have surprised me a couple of months ago when I wasn't aware of this site (I was lead to believe that the academic job competition in Clinical is really not all that bad), I am now not surprised at all by this outcome. In fact, I would be surprised if anything comes my way this year. Just surveying this site and checking out some of the other applicants' CVs etc., it appears that the competition is unreal, to say the least. I am seeing people with 20+ publications and H- Indexes of 10+…This is..wow! For better or for worse, this forum rushed me back into reality.
