May be too early to be wondering as I know phone interviews were right before Thanksgiving (and some perhaps later??), but has anyone heard about campus invites?

I was wondering about this. They said that they had three positions available and made it sound like things would be in flux for awhile. Did they make interview invites for all the positions?
I'm not sure if the invites were done for all of the positions but it didn't seem as though they were running separate searches for these. All I know is that they are in the process of scheduling campus interviews for January- it may be possible that they'll add more interviews later given that they have so many openings.
Thanks for the update. I was one of the folks that had a phone interview and they made it sound like I would be on the interview list (but I have heard nothing, so clearly this is not the case). I guess I must have totally misread the conversation. It must have been wishful thinking.
Different poster here, but my guess is that they're going to be doing their invites in waves. I mean, they have 3 positions available…that's going to have to mean a lot of interviews. In my phone interview, they seemed to indicate that they would be likely be doing interviews for a couple of months.
That totally makes sense- I definitely wouldn't give up hope on this one yet =)
I also don't know if your phone interview experience was like mine, but I found it a bit strange that they basically assigned one faculty member to conduct the interview- it seemed as though different faculty were assigned to different candidates, so it's possible that not all of the faculty have even completed the phone interviews or passed all of the information re their candidates along to the SC yet. There's definitely still hope even if you haven't heard yet, I think.
Yeah, I had to same experience. The interview was with just one faculty member, which was unusual. I am pretty sure that I would have heard something by now, if I was on the interview list. It sounds like they spoke with a lot of us… I wonder how many they are inviting for interviews.
I don't know anything about the Iowa State position, but I had a very similar situation at another school, and recently got a campus interview from them after I had given up hope. My phone interview was a full week before Thanksgiving. It was with just one person. The way the format was explained to me was that the phone interview was a way of gathering information so that a particular faculty member could advocate for you during the meeting(s) where they decide who to fly out. So, something like each member of the committee had 1-2 people they really wanted to advocate for, and so that's who they interviewed. Again, no idea if that's what's happening with Iowa State, but figured I'd share!
